Miani, Ribolla Pettarin, 2022 NV [2022] barely-there sulfurRibolla Gialla is Friuli's proudest native white grape, and this is Miani's only bottling of it, from the Pettarin vineyard in Rosazzo, long considered a grand cru site for the variety. The vines are extraordinary, between 80 and 100 years old, rooted in classic ponca marl, and because Ribolla is naturally vigorous, Enzo Pontoni slashes yields hard to concentrate the fruit.
